Residents Only Parking

When I saw this truck yesterday, I thought it was a joke or vandalized after being abandoned. My friends who live on that South End street, however, pointed out that it had all the proper parking stickers for the past 10 years! Go figure.

Beautiful! There are a couple of folks like that in Roslindale. My favorite (if its's still around; haven't seen it in awhile) is the Gene Machine - an old Dodge Carvan that looks sort of like your truck, owned by, ta da, Gene. That car is ALWAYS parked on our street and takes up a good two full parking spots. It is the most annoying vehicle I have come across in Boston, although one has to respect the creativity.
